fecophon wood
Optimised room acoustics: Quiet for concentrated work
Concrete and glass, which are used extensively in architecture, create hard surfaces with long reverberation times. As structural activation often does not allow for sound-absorbing suspended ceilings, system walls with acoustically effective surfaces are essential.
Our slotted or perforated acoustic elements in an elegant wood finish – whether in real wood veneer, melamine or laminate – enhance the visual appeal of rooms and create a naturally warm working atmosphere. With a wall thickness of 105 mm, sound-absorbing surfaces (αw up to 0.85 and Rw,P up to 47 dB) can be achieved. The reduced reverberation time improves speech intelligibility and productivity – people understand each other better and speak more quietly.
