After more than 100 years of successful company history, Erhardt und Leimer Elektroanlagen GmbH has moved from its headquarters in Leitershofer Strasse to its new headquarters in Sheridanpark Süd in Augsburg. As a subsidiary of the globally active Erhardt und Leimer Group, E+L Elektroanlagen specialises in building, security and communications technology for all sectors of industry and commerce, as well as sophisticated electrical installations in the residential sector. The new three-storey building with a net floor area of around 7,600 m², designed by Augsburg architects Filutowski Schmuck, offers flexible space solutions, light-flooded work areas and energy-efficient building technology powered by renewable resources, such as a photovoltaic system that also supplies sixteen e-charging stations. The H-shaped building also sets new standards with intelligent control systems, energy-optimised lighting and state-of-the-art information and monitoring technology.
The client’s decision to use the feco wall system for the corridor glass walls supports the design objectives of flexibility and sustainability. The fecoplan all-glass construction can be dismantled and reassembled without destruction. This makes it possible to respond flexibly to changing requirements in the future. The glass walls with 10 mm toughened safety glass offer a sound insulation test value of Rw,P = 35 dB. Rooms with more stringent requirements are glazed with 16 mm toughened safety glass. The sound reduction index is 40 dB. The doors are designed as fecotür H70 portal door solutions with Rw,P = 37 dB with fecowand solid wall door side panels to accommodate the operating elements. The natural light oak finish of the door elements adds a homely touch to the office environment, which is characterised by technology and open cable management.
With the new building, the long-established company E+L Elektroanlagen is sending out positive signals in the region and demonstrating its commitment to the Augsburg location. feco system walls create an office landscape that structurally implements the company’s values with openness and transparency and promotes team-oriented work. The attractive working environment helps the company to attract new talent and retain employees.
