A future-oriented office environment that actively embraces the changing world of work was at the heart of the design concept. To structure the space between focused work areas and collaborative team zones, feco system partition walls were implemented: the mullion-free all-glass construction fecoplan, made of 12 mm toughened safety glass (ESG), offers maximum transparency while still ensuring effective sound insulation. This allows retreat and focus zones to remain acoustically shielded despite the openness. When needed, curtains can be used to ensure privacy. The black powder-coated connection profiles in RAL 9005 create a striking contrast with the light-colored wall surfaces.

The only 70 mm deep system frames of the fecodoor G10 all-glass doors, with a sound insulation test value of Rw,P = 32 dB, along with matching lever handles, hinges, and drop-down seals, are also finished in deep black matt (RAL 9005). neotares highlights selected wall surfaces with a finely tuned color concept.

The new work environment of 1822direkt combines various spatial types for focus, communication, and agility: team zones alternate with retreat areas, and an open arena equipped with whiteboards and textile curtains supports agile working methods. A lounge with tea kitchen expands the space – offering a place for informal exchange and social interaction. Biophilic elements like plants and purposefully positioned lighting fixtures contribute to an atmosphere of appreciation.

Individual locker cabinets allow for the storage of personal work materials – an important component in the non-territorial workspace concept. The workstations themselves are designed for flexibility and project-based tasks, supporting the principles of activity-based working.

With this new working environment, 1822direkt has successfully created an office that not only appeals to new talent, but also serves as an attractive alternative to working from home. The open yet structured layout enables both productive work and personal interaction. The use of feco system partition walls ensures transparent separation that makes focused work, meetings, and moments of retreat possible—even in close proximity to open team areas.
